Will New Lawyers Redefine “Law Firm Hot?”
I came across this looking for an e-book to study for Friday’s MPRE (I took it my 3L year and got a 117, but that score has expired and so I have to take it again, and get at least a 75 to be admitted in Alabama).

Most female 3L’s studying for the bar have gone thru law school, and have yet to find a meal ticket in the form of a guy who can pay for them to do squat. So they’re out there looking to snare a dude with money.
Most of them are worn out, definitely NOT hot, often f***ed out by guys who have sampled the merchandise multiple times, and determined to move on to hotter, more nubile babes.
So these broads are out there buying self-help books to make them think there is something left between their legs that will attract the successful guy.
Unfortunately, the only type of guy that will find a 28 year old female 3L studying for the bar is a fat, balding 50 something partner who has his own problem with his fat, balding 50 something wife and his teenage kids who are useless.
Get it, dude?
I’m studying for the MPRE, too. Isn’t it fun?
Shark has apparently confused the bar and the MPRE.
OK, I did, but don’t tell me some 24 year old woman taking MPRE, for instance is a beauty, because by the time they’re taking the bar a year or so later, they are clearly no beauties; in fact many are outright DAWGs!

Actually, at the AL bar there was a pretty decent number of hot girls. I assume they were are TTT and T4 grads, of course.

How hard is the MPRE?
The questions are really hard, but the test is easy to pass.
It is 50 multiple choice questions plus 10 experimental, and you get 2 hours. It’s graded on a scale of 50 to 150 with a median score of 100. I haven’t been able to see what the curve looks like, but I assume it’s a normal bell curve. The highest score required to pass is an 85, but many states will take a 75.
So, only 25% of the domain of the bell curve falls in the failing range, and that’s a very skinny part of the curve, so I imagine only something like 10% of people fail. I got a 117 when I took it my 3L year.
Thanks! Is 1 week enough to study for it? Wow, the questions are hard?! The practice questions don’t seem too bad, but, of course, I also thought that about the MBE…
So should I be freaking out?
I apologize for my conclusory statement the other day about MBE copyright law. I’ll get back to you when I can put more thought into it :P
1 week is about 6 days too much.
Most people get out of the MPRE thinking they failed, but of course, almost no one does. Part of it is that 1 in 6 questions are experimental, so you’ll see some completely foreign looking stuff.
Yeah, I’ve been pretty bored studying it most of the time. I’m worried about the differences between “should”, “shall”, etc.

For learning this stuff, try to just internalize the bigger principles. Withdrawing due to a conflict is almost always shall. Revealing that your client is going to kill someone is a should or a may.

Why Alabama?
It’s definitely tricky, but again, you don’t need to do very well at all to pass.
And I’m in Alabama because my parents don’t charge me rent.
And there evidently is some hot twat around that is willing to spread for this dude!
I proctored the MPRE 3 times and I saw some of the same smart kids from law school a couple times. I thought that was interesting with all the blogs and comments from friends how easy it is. I think it is easy too, but I guess it isn’t as easy to pass as everyone says. I used barbri and thought it helped.
