Archer Memo

If you’re a 1L at NYU School of Law, you should be having the Archer project coming up (unless they’ve changed the curriculum since I was there).  If you find yourself having trouble with the research, or struggling to put your memo together, you’re in luck!  I wrote the book on Archer.  Literally.

Well, kinda.

I worked as a research assistant and did a major rewrite of the “bench memo” (aka: teachers’ edition) and still have my copy.

I won’t just give you my copy of the memo.  After all, I may need to hire one of you some day, and I’d prefer to you learned the basics of legal research and writing.  But, I also know that many professors phone it in and don’t give much guidance, and that’s not going to result in a skilled lawyer either.

I’m not going to do the work for you, but if you need help, I don’t really have anything else better to do with my time.  Either post your questions in the comments, or send them to nycbl1y@gmail.com and I’ll do my best to make your first semester suck a little less.

Allow me to help you. There is this wonderful activity you can do all by yourself. It is just incredibly enjoyable. You can do it many times a day.

You can do it quickly, you can do it slowly, either way is enjoyable and it is really up to personal preference.

Nerds supposedly do it very often.

Some people though even do it in groups, or just at the same time.

Many people get very cross if you interrupt them while they do it.

    Go read a book. ;-)

And Namby: Who is more nerdy, the nerd, or the nerd who cheats off of him? Oh…wait. the first nerd. That’s actually pretty obvious.

    Or you could just masturbate.

If you’re a 1L anywhere, drop out because a law degree is useless…good luck finding a job.

Speaking of which, anyone know of any jobs for a graduating 3L in Phoenix?

Actually, odds are if you’re a 1L at NYU, you’ll be alright. I mean, you’ll have to deal with the shit life of being a big law associate, but that probably will be a reality for you.

Attempting to bribe the readership? This site has hit a new low (or high).

  9. bl1y Says:

Plenty of law students get their lawyer parents to help them with assignments (and even exams). This just helps even the playing field a bit.

I was being facetious…I actually think its a good idea. That was the only thing that annoyed me about frats in school–study guide-banks.
