Season’s Greetings from the NYU Office for Development and Alumni Relations
This is actually from the main university, and not the law school specifically, but I’m linking to it just because it’s so god awfully Hallmark Channel. You’d a school located in a place known for its edgy artistic brilliance could come up with something better.
Click HERE and try not to puke.
And after you’re done, here’s a couple notes I had on the card:
First, you cannot “learn new cultures.” You can learn of a new culture (learn that it exists), learn about a new culture (on Wikipedia), or explore a new culture (like Wikipedia, but actually eating the stuff you read about), but you cannot learn a culture.
Second, notice that the card focuses on alumni just traveling the world, making friends, and having exotic adventures. No one has a freaking job! Yeah…that’s actually pretty accurate.
And finally, the “you’ll remember Washington Square blanketed in show” thing would have been nice, except that no alumni would even recognize that picture. A year or two ago the fountain in Washington Square Park was moved so that it would be centered with the arch and 5th Avenue. In doing this renovation, a lot of the rest of the park was torn up and redone. Remove the arch, and the park is entirely unrecognizable to NYU alumni.
Yeah, I’ll always remember Washington Square Park blanketed in snow, but what the fuck is that?

That is what happens when you go to a state school.
For the priviledge of going to law school in New York City, Is the smart money on attending Fordam or Columbia U law school?
NYU is private. The state school is SUNY. And really, you have to ask between Fordam and Columbia? Kill self.
Also, I went to a state school for undergrad (Roll Teeeed!) and it was far superior to NYU.
I would mabye have gone to Columbia, but my father did NOT want me to go to school in a bad naborhood, so he would NOT pay for me to go to a NY City school.
Now I wished he had, because I wound up moving to NY City and now I am NOT even being considered equally from the law students who went to law school here, even though I was on MOOT COURT and reached the QUARTER finals.
Now I have to PROVE myself all over again, like I did in MOOT court, as if I did not even graduate law school, and I am now even a member of the NY Bar.
Why do peeple treat other peeple who do not come from NY City so different then if you went to a local law school?
I am much brighter then most NY City law students.
Speaking of New York Law schools….

Harlem isn’t a bad neighborhood before, and Columbia isn’t located in Harlem anyways. They look like the same place on a map, but when you’re there, it’s a clear divide.
wlmington: Too bad the blog is now private; I’d like to get in touch with the blogger there.
Yes there are SUNY schools that are jokes (Corltand) but in this economy, what am I talking about, even in a good economy attending either SUNY ESF, Geneseo, Binghamton and Stony Brook would be a smarter move than attending a lot private schools for undergrad.
Obviously if you can get into Harvard, Yale, Princeton, CalTech and the like it’s probably worth it. But NYU? George Washington? Syracuse? Bonston University? No chance! I know too many kids that have gone to Syracuse to only end up subsidizing Carmello Anthony’s NBA career. Sad.
Undergrad? Who the fuck is talking about undergrad?
SUNY Plattsburgh? Anybody? No other Cardinal alums here?
I judge a law school by the quality of the babes I see at the bookstore. If the school is any good, there will be hot babes by the magazine section.
If the school has ugly broads, then you won’t have a good experience, and won’t get a good job.
As long as you are kept busy in the school, you will have the confidence to get a good job, and get good broads in the courthouse.
If you wind up with a bunch of barkers, then forget it afterward, because you’ll be so pussywhipped you will never get respect at work.
I judge my blog’s comment policies by the quality of the comments it produces.
I like an open site, but also, I don’t like annoying rubbish. Ye are warned.
Here is a good Corporate job. I do NOT want to work for this b/c it is in Mahwah, but if you want to, you can take this>
